Finally we have our winger! Well not strictly just a winger, Amine Adli can of course play down the middle as well. The Frenchman joins from Toulouse for a fee between €10m and €15m including add ons and signs a contract until 2026. The Ligue 2 Player of the Season apparently produced stats that only Neymar could better in the top two French divisions; hopefully he can light up the Bundesliga in the same way. He is Voller's 'dream player' and the 'final piece of the puzzle' for Rolfes, suggesting that no more signings are due - sad for those wishing an Arias return. Overall however, everybody can be very happy with what has been one of the best transfer windows in recent memory.
Departures
Mitchell Weiser today expressed his frustration over his current prospects at Bayer 04. In what appeared to be a cry for help, in an interview with Kicker, he complained of never being given a fair chance and not having any joy due to a lack of games, feeling that he is being overlooked despite his performance. He says that "it is definitely best for both sides to end the chapter." Given there has been no interest from any clubs during this window and the player's clear dissatisfaction, a contract termination seems the only logical solution.
