According to The Athletic, Bayer Leverkusen are not the only German side to be highly interested in want-away Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah. Borussia Monchengladbach reportedly made an offer to Arsenal to sign him but due to the London club's desire to extend with the player, the proposal was rejected. If you believe last week's reports, Leverkusen were supposed to be hopeful of striking a deal to bring him to the Rhineland this summer by the end of today...
Bild wrote on Wednesday that Dortmund, the favourites to sign Austrian talent Yusuf Demir, have pulled out of the race, with them reportedly not looking to sign anyone this window. Frankfurt do not have him on their list of priorities either, leaving just Leipzig and Leverkusen left in the duel. A commitment would cost around 10 milllion euros.
Departures
We can all rest easy now. Patrik Schick is currently one of the hottest names on the transfer market with almost every big club imaginable being linked with him. A move is out of the question for the Czech however with our top scorer saying that he is "really, really happy in Leverkusen" in an interview with Bild, not wanting either to cause problems by forcing through a change. When you are scoring at the rate he is currently, why would he?
