The Mail Online wrote today that representatives from at least 10 clubs watched the Champions League qualifier between PSV and Benfica last Wednesday in which the Dutch side lost 2-1. Bayer Leverkusen are one of the clubs named as interested in English winger Noni Madueke, a 19-year-old potential superstar with a price tag to match (reportedly valued by PSV at £34m). Given the potential transfer fee and the amount of competition, a move is unlikely. It wasn't the first time our scouts went to a game of the Dutch team however - earlier in the month we were said to have watched their game against Midtjylland, again for Madueke. PSV have made themselves clear in their intention not to sell this summer.
Departures
A move for Joel Pohjanpalo to VFB Stuttgart is off the table according to Bild as they view him as too one dimensional - they want a player with the ability to play in all positions across the forward line. Other clubs interested in the Finn during this transfer window include Cologne, Lens and PAOK.
