Arrivals
The Austrian news outlet 'Kurier' reported yesterday that Austrian starlet Yusuf Demir has no intention of leaving Rapid Vienna. This comes after a number of German clubs including Bayer Leverkusen were mooted as interested in the player valued at €10m by the Viennese club. While this would appear to rule out a transfer in the near future, a player of his talent and potential surely will not stay in Austrian football much longer.
According to Bild, Leverkusen were linked to 19-year-old French right winger Kelian Nsona of Caen in Ligue 2. Nothing should happen with him however as he is currently in Berlin to complete a move to Hertha.
Departures
Last night we learnt that Brazilian side Palmeiras were to open talks with Lucas Alario over a potential move. Already, there should be an offer in the room for the Argentine - USD $8m according to Cesar Luis Merlo on Twitter. Allegedly the club and the player are hesitant over whether to continue with negotiations. Alario's agent, Pedro Aldave earlier this month stressed that his client still wanted to play in Europe after quashing earlier rumours linking him to Palmeiras, saying that no talks had taken place. 8 million dollars (around 7 million euros) is a healthy budget to spend on a placement, were he to leave, especially in a winter market with so many interesting players having expiring contracts.
