Departures
Yesterday I wrote of an offer from Palmeiras for Lucas Alario worth USD $8m. The alleged proposal has already been accepted by Leverkusen, according to Central da Bola on Twitter, in the early hours of this morning. Now the Brazilian side is dealing with the striker himself, with the aim of trying to sign him in advance of the Club World Cup which starts on February 3rd. Alario personally isn't keen on returning to South America so soon but given a lack of suitors from Europe (only Torino), unless he is happy to be Schick's understudy, he might not have much choice.#
Could Moussa Diaby be playing his final months for the Werkself?, According to L'Equipe, it is a possibility. That being said, there has not been any request to leave by the player neither has there been any concrete approaches for him. Whether or not we would be able to keep him would likely depend on if we manage to qualify for the Champions League season. Given his contract lasts until 2025, were he to go, it would have to be for a very high price - probably around €60m.
