Leverkusen interested in Schade and Giovani, suitors for Paulinho? Transfer Update 07/07/2022

Arrivals

According to German media, 20-year-old Kevin Schade has attracted interest from Bayer Leverkusen. However, they will face stiff competition from a number of clubs, including Brentford, Dortmund, and RB Leipzig. The young German scored 4 goals and assisted once in 21 Bundesliga appearances this season for Freiburg. He primarily plays as a right-winger, but can also play on the left or as a center-forward.

Journalist André Hernan recently reported that Leverkusen and Villarreal have made offers for 18-year-old Giovani, who plays for Palmeiras. The Brazilian fits the same caliber as Schade, predominantly playing at right-wing, but he can also slot in at other positions across the front line. He has played in 4 Série A matches over the last 2 years, and has even found the back of the net once. If Leverkusen cannot finalize the signing of Ukranian Mykhaylo Mudryk, then these 2 wingers, with a bright future ahead of them, would make great alternatives for Simon Rolfes and Bayer Leverkusen.

Departures

Paulinho is still drawing interest from both Sporting Lisbon and Ajax Amsterdam, according to Kicker. If Paulinho has no future at the BayArena, now is the time to sell him with his contract set to expire in the summer of 2023. Selling Paulinho could also help fund new signings to strengthen the squad for next season.

Charles Aranguiz is to sit down to discuss his future once he returns from vacation claims Kicker. The 33-year-old Chilean has had long-term interest shown from his former club SC Internacional but Simon Rolfes says Bayer 04 haven't received contact from any team for him. Leverkusen's position is clear, Aranguiz is to be kept until the end of his contract next year - the player's willingness to do this is yet to be seen.
