Thilo Kehrer, one of the scapegoats for PSG's defeat to Lille in the Trophee de Champions, is now the subject of negotiations between PSG and Bayer 04, with Leverkusen offering just €10m for the defender but PSG wanting at least €5m to €10m in bonuses according to Paris Fans. The talks are progressing well and the bonuses are said to be made up of an easy to achieve part and a hard part. We aren't alone in the race with Bayern, Wolfsburg, Frankfurt and Gladbach all named as competitors by Fussball Transfers.
According to the Sky Transfer Update, Leverkusen are not just looking for one winger, but two to replace Leon Bailey. This could go some way to explain why as of yet we have not been associated with any wide players of an exceptionally high calibre with the most expensive only being in the €15m - €20m range. Are two new players necessary? Paulinho should not want yet another player in his way and there would surely be quantitatively too many. Unless of course this means we are anticipating the departure of another player.

As Kicker reported yesterday, the contract extension for Lucas Alario is now officially done. He signs until 2024. There were offers for him from other clubs, the most concrete coming from Udinese, but clearly they weren't good enough to accept. Hopefully with this extension comes a promise of regular football, something which he has been robbed of from the start.
